I love when a theme fits the look I want on my phone and at the time, after selling my mythical HTC HD2 (which could run Windows Mobile, Windows Phone, and Android) I missed the Windows Phone looks on my device.
After not seeing a well-done theme (for my taste) that matched the looks and feel of those I had with the HD2, I started a new journey to understand the MIUI android theme system so that I could make my own theme.
I used a tool at the time that allowed me to preview the screen output as you coded the XML and added the icons for it. Once I got the hang of it, it was easy to change all the system icons and themes.
The Metro MiUI was the first to be created as the need for a HD2-like experience was missing. Since I've already used some of the icons for the WinRAR Metro UI theme, and this theme was using many more icons, I've created some more in order to support major apps that were used at the time on the stores.
The Zanilla theme was created later, I loved the design of those icons so I talked to the designer to check if I could use them on a MIUI theme, knowing that some other app icons would be needed, I put my hands to work and completed the set with some requests from the community.
